Preparation guide

1. Card type

Tell us which brand the card is from. We currently buy Amazon, Apple (also called iTunes), Steam, Razer Gold, and Xbox (also called Microsoft) gift cards. Other brands may be supported — ask support if you have one outside this list.

If the card is physical, the brand is printed on the front. If it is an e-code from an email receipt, the brand is in the subject line or in the merchant name. Do not guess — "Apple" and "Amazon" pay very different rates, and Apple US and Apple UK are also different.

2. Card region

The card region is the country the card was issued for. The most common regions we buy are US, UK, EU, AU, and CA. The region affects the rate — a US Amazon card pays differently from a UK one.

On a physical card the region is on the back, usually near the small print or the customer service phone number. On an e-code receipt the region is shown as the currency: $ for US, £ for UK, € for EU, A$ for AU, C$ for CA. If you bought it from amazon.com it is US; amazon.co.uk is UK; amazon.de or amazon.fr is EU.

3. Denomination (face value)

The face value is the amount printed on the card or shown on the e-code receipt — for example $50, $100, £25, or €100. Send the exact number, not an estimate.

If you have several cards, list each one separately: "3 cards: $100, $50, $25". Do not add them together — different denominations sometimes pay slightly different rates.

4. Payout country and method

Tell us where you want to receive the money and how. We pay out:

Kenya → KES via M-PESA. Nigeria → NGN via bank transfer (any Nigerian bank). Ghana → GHS via MTN MoMo, AirtelTigo Money, or Telecel Cash. Bénin → XOF via Wave, MTN MoMo, or Moov Money. Côte d'Ivoire → XOF via Wave, MTN MoMo, or Orange Money.

Have your phone number or bank account ready before the chat — we'll need the number that receives the payout, not just the country.

5. Card photo or code

For physical cards, take a clear, well-lit photo showing the full front and the full back where the code is. Do not crop the card — we need the whole image. JPEG or PNG straight from your camera roll is fine.

For e-codes, send a screenshot of the email receipt that shows the code, the denomination, and the order number. Or copy the code as text — both work.

Do not send the photo or code in public. Use the calculator first: the calculator price is the final payout price when the card is valid and matches the details you choose. Private photos, codes, and receipt proof belong only inside the official SellCardNow WhatsApp route.

FAQ

Prepare card details FAQ

Short answers before you open the WhatsApp chat.

What if I don't have the receipt?

You don't need the original receipt to sell. Just tell us the card type, region (visible on the back of the card), denomination, and have a clear photo ready. The receipt only matters if support flags an issue and asks for proof of purchase.

Can I send only the code without a photo?

For e-codes, yes — a screenshot of the email or the code as text is fine. For physical cards, we need a photo so support can verify the card is real and the region matches. Code-only on a physical card slows down review.

What if my card is partially redeemed?

Tell support upfront. We sometimes still buy partially redeemed cards, but the rate depends on the remaining balance and the brand. Hiding it just means the trade fails at verification — better to mention it in your first message.

Which photo format is best?

A straight photo from your phone camera, JPEG or PNG, with both the full front and the full back of the card visible. Good lighting, no glare on the code, no cropping. Avoid screenshots of screenshots — that often blurs the code.

Do I need to send everything in one message?

No. Start with the card type, region, denomination, and payout country. Use the calculator to see the final payout price. Only after you continue through the official SellCardNow route should you send private photo, code, or receipt details.
